Hydro-jetting and sewer camera

Camera first to find the crack, belly or root, rooter for the hard stuff, then water up to 4,000 PSI to scour the pipe wall clean.

Why the drain keeps coming back

Grease and fat, food and organic waste, scale, sludge and mineral deposits do not leave a pipe when a snake punches through them. They line the wall and narrow the bore a little more every month, until the drain backs up again and the cycle repeats. Tree roots and the debris left behind after rooter service make it worse.

That is why jetting suits recurring drains, backups and older plumbing. The line is often not blocked in one spot, it is dirty along its whole length.

Camera first, then rooter, then 4,000 PSI

A sewer camera goes in first, so the crew sees what the pipe is doing instead of guessing. It finds cracked or damaged pipe, root intrusion, grease buildup, separations, bellies and low spots, foreign objects and the places where blockages keep happening. That tells everyone whether the line needs cleaning, repair or both.

Where roots or a hard blockage are in the way, rotating cutting equipment, the rooter, clears them, and it can be followed by jetting. Then the red trailer-mounted hot-jet unit sends water at up to 4,000 PSI through the line. Hydro-jetting doesn't just open a path through the blockage, it cleans the inside of the pipe.

Keeping the line open after the truck leaves

The camera shows where blockages keep happening and what condition the pipe is in overall. Once those trouble spots are known, you can plan around them instead of waiting for the next backup.

Pairing jetting with a grease trap schedule keeps the fat from building up in the first place, and a bottle of Total C between visits helps slow drains between pump-outs. Call (505) 344-0177 from Albuquerque or anywhere in the four-state area. When the pipes fight back, AWR brings the pressure.
