24/7 emergency pumping and line clearing

Trap overflow, backed-up drains or a septic system coming back up: trucks roll day, night, weekends and holidays.

The call that comes at the worst hour

A grease trap overflows in the middle of the dinner rush. A floor drain backs up an hour before opening. A septic system starts coming back up into the house on a holiday weekend. None of these wait for the office to open, and none of them get better by waiting.

A full trap pushes grease into the line, and a blocked line sends everything behind it back up to the lowest drain. The longer it sits, the more the smell spreads and the longer the kitchen stays closed.

Who answers, and what rolls

The phone and email at American Waste Removal are answered 24/7, day, night, weekends and holidays. Call (505) 344-0177 for Albuquerque and the surrounding area, or write to dispatch@awrnm.com. The office keeps weekday hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, but the line does not.

The emergency list is four jobs: grease trap pumping, septic tank pumping, hydro-jetting and line clearing, and rooter service. When your kitchen or facility cannot afford downtime, we respond fast to get you back up and running.

Back open first, then a schedule so it does not repeat

The first goal is simple: pump the trap or tank, clear the line, and get the kitchen or the house working again. After that comes the question that matters more, which is why it happened.

Most overflows trace back to a trap that went too long between pump-outs, or to a line that was never cleaned, only opened. Once you are running again, we set a pump-out interval that fits your kitchen, and if the line itself is the problem we scope it and jet it.

Three questions that mean call now

  • Overflow?

A grease trap that is spilling is a full trap. It needs to be pumped to empty, which is the work behind grease trap pumping.

  • Backed up?

Slow drains that keep returning need the line cleared and the pipe wall cleaned, which is what hydro-jetting and the sewer camera are for.

  • Septic?

A tank coming back up into the house is overdue. The septic pumping crews run from Albuquerque and from Flora Vista, (505) 334-4018 in the Four Corners.

After another company could not finish the job

A restaurant drain problem, cleared

Andrea Gonzales has the restaurant grease trap cleaned by us every year. When an unexpected drain problem was left unresolved by another local company, she called us, and her review says what happened next.

“Curtis was helpful from the very beginning and communicated clearly throughout the process. He explained the work that was completed and even provided photos of our grease trap once it was cleaned, which we decided to have serviced early.”
